Funny Music Jokes! :)

These are soooo funnnny!
Q: How many tenors does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Four. One to change the bulb and three to bitch that they could have done it if they had the high notes.
Q: How many basses does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: None. They’re so macho they prefer to walk in the dark and bang their shins.
Q: How many sopranos does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A: Just one. She holds the lightbulb and the world revolves around her.
Q: How many altos does it take to change a light bulb?
A: All of them. One to change the bulb, and the rest to complain about how high it is.

If you know anything about chords and chord progressions you will love this! It's genius.
C, E-flat and G go into a bar. The bartender says, "sorry, but we don't serve minors." So E-flat leaves, and C and G have an open fifth between them. After a few drinks, the fifth is diminished and G is out flat. F comes in and tries to augment the situation, but is not sharp enough.

D comes in and heads for the bathroom saying, "Excuse me. I'll just be a second." Then A comes in, but the bartender is not convinced that this relative of C is not a minor. Then the bartender notices B-flat hiding at the end of the bar and says, "Get out! You're the seventh minor I've found in this bar tonight."E-Flat comes back the next night in a three-piece suit with nicely shined shoes. The bartender says, "you're looking sharp tonight. Come on in, this could be a major development." Sure enough, E-flat soon takes off his suit and everything else, and is au natural.

Eventually C sobers up and realizes in horror that he's under a rest. C is brought to trial, found guilty of contributing to the diminution of a minor, and is sentenced to 10 years of D.S. without Coda at an upscale correctional facility.

Musicale, National Guard and Spring Break

Oh my gosh! Musicale was so much fun this year. In case you don't know what musicale is basically a bunch of Christian Choirs get together for a choral festival. It's amazingly fun. Two days of nothing but listening to solos and duets and trios and small and large ensembles and small and large school choirs and mass choir performances! Does life actually get any better? I think not! This year, I actually did a solo. It was actually fun- although I really don't consider myself a soloist. The judge really liked me, and actually- I scored a 95 out of 100. I was pretty excited. It was basically the bomb-digitty. But, the real reason that I was excited after musicale wasn't because of me and my accomplishments. I was really extremely proud of our choir. After a lot of hard work and frustration we ended up winning for small schools. We got to perform at the command performance on Friday night. I will have to post some pictures soon. I was SOOOO proud of us. I was so happy that everyone was involved in the winning and not just a soloist or an ensemble. It was just great. I was also just proud to see how far we have come. We now have 33 people in our choir- and I think back like 4 years when we only had like 5 people. Mrs. Grove has brought us a very long way and I am so glad to be a part of it. She has worked very hard, so I am glad that she was able to have that experience. She was also the Honors Choir director. Basically the Honors choir is made up of one person from each part (SATB) in a choir who is selected by the director for their musical ability and Christian leadership. I was chosen from the altos in our choir, so I was very very proud of Mrs. Grove and her being able to direct the Honors choir, it was really a great honor. Standby pictures coming soon.

In other news, we had a farewell party this afternoon for my brother who is in the National Guard . It was fun. There was a very interesting group of people. A lot of family friends, his friends and a TON of relatives and neighbors. It was kind of like a wedding crowd. Just TONS of people and random people. There were a lot of people here. We always have big family gatherings during the summer, but not while it's pouring down rain when they have to all hang out inside. He is leaving next Wednesday for California for more training. He will be there for a while and then he will go to Georgia and then come home for like four days, and then be shipped to Kuwait for a bit and then will end up in Baghdad. Intense? Yes indeed.

How was the other part of my spring break? Ah, just fine. Pretty stressful as you can imagine with Alex leaving soon, and this party, and Emmi's moving back home--- oh yeah, that happened. Anyway, and Rylee hanging out here a bunch this week. I also did something a bit different with my hair. I died it a little bit red. Like, the brown is a bit lighter and it has a little bit of subtle red. I am happy with it. But them my older sister ruined my life by giving me a haircut and starting with my bangs. I look retarded with bangs, so whatever. I didn't have her cut anything else after that. Oh well- it's just hair, it'll grow back. There are worse things I suppose. Like, maybe, my hair not coming out of that silly orange/blond that it turned when we bleached it in order to lighten up the brown. That was stressful. But Megan pulled through and now my hair is calm and not retarded looking- except for my bangs... :)

Well, I go back to school on Monday, which should be interesting considering I haven't actually done a lot of homework. Okay, ANY homework... :)

Basketball Is Over

I've got to say, despite the miserable game, and the horrid truth that we were only one game away from Pendleton, I found myself halfway relieved that we were done for the season. I guess that is just my selfish human nature talking. I guess I am selfishly glad that I don't have to not play at Pendleton because of my injury. I don't know. I would have liked to see us get there, but not with me on the bench. I suppose I am some stuck up basketball player who doesn't deserve to be on the team... maybe.
