On to state?

Well, tonight the boys varsity basketball team qualified for the state tournament in Pendleton. It is super exciting. They beat Central Linn this evening, so they are super happy. Tomorrow our team drives down to Medford and play St. Mary's to see if we are going to be able to move on to Pendleton. Wish us luck!

Poem

Tomorrow is the poetry slam at school, and this is one of the poems that I am reciting...although it's more a duet. McKenzie and I are both doing. It's going to be the bomb-digitty!
Fur Myrrh and Friends Forever
Her and me
Me and her
We don't have tails
And we don't have fur
We have brown hair
And the exact same feet
You may think it's weird
But to us it's pretty neat
Her and me
Me and her
We're the bomb-digitty
And that's for sure
We've been soul sisters
Since the day she was born
We like eating ice cream
And making corn
Her and me
Me and her
We don't brush our teeth
And we don't shower
When we're together
We're really funny
Someday together we'll
Make a whole lot of money
We go together like
Frankincense and myrrh
Her and me
Me and her

Random Stuff

Today was incredibly relaxing. I had a very lovely day and completed almost an entire season of One Tree Hill, while I was here at home. Besides a headache I had earlier today, it was almost a perfect day. When I woke up this morning, I had a pretty bad headache and somewhat of a cold that I've been fighting for the past week, so I decided that today would be an excellent day to just chill and not do anything but sit around and watch my favorite show of all time.

Wednesday is East Linn's second annual "Poetry Slam." Which is completely nerdy, and I'm super excited for it! I know, I am super lame, but I'm totally all over that kind of shit. I love poetry and I love memorizing it and then performing in front of a safe crowd. Yey. I am doing three different acts. I can't tell you yet what they are, but they are going to be the bomb-digitty. I am super excited!

Yesterday, Shavonne and I hung out at her house and watched on of the lamest books ever, that was turned into one of the weirdest movies ever. :) Anyway, she gave me the coolest journal ever. It is leather-bound and has music on the cover of it. It's basically the most amazing thing EVER! I started writing in it. I love it a lot. Devon gave me a Anne of Green Gables journal last year for my birthday, and I love it so freaking much, too much actually, I will never be able to write in it, because it's so freaking awesome with all of the quotes and pictures from Anne. Anyway... I'm super excited!

In other news, both the boys and girls basketball teams made it to state. I'm pretty excited about that. Really it is going to be great fun. We are going to go to Medford on Saturday and play St. Mary's on the road. But I'm totally excited because it's the first time that our team has ever made it this far before. I can't wait to see where we go from here. And when I say we, I guess I mean they. I'll keep you posted. Wish us luck!
