My Best Friend!

One of my favorite people in the world is also one of the most amazing singers in the world. I am so proud of her, and I love her big big like the world. My favorite part of my week is going and seeing her perform at the local "Teen Idol" event that she and my friend, the master, and her participate in. I love them both and I am totally rooting for both of them, but Megan is my bestest friend, so I'm posting her performance from last week. She did an amazing job! I will try to continue posting these links as the competition continues.Watch Megan here.

Tragedy.

Once upon a time there was a little girl name McKenzie Collins. She was a very nice human. One day she became a teenager and she got sucked into the world of vampires and werewolves and it ruined her life forever. She fell in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen. Her greatest friends tried to warn her, but she wouldn't listen. She was convinced that she loved him. But all her friends knew the truth. They knew that he was only trying to hurt her, but she couldn't see it, because he seemed like a good guy. But he wasn't. He was evil, and he only wanted to control her and suck her blood. It was very sad, but there wasn't a lot her friends could do but sit back and watch. So from then on her life was a graveyard of buried hopes. She sat in the corner and read all about her lover, in hopes that he was really who he said he was. She ignored her friends, and her family and she became very distant, and there was nobody who could save her. No one. The End.

Formal

I am super excited! Today Megan and I made a break for Portland to go visit the "Abby's Closet" prom dress giveaway. Yeah. GIVE AWAY! I have never attended any of ELCA's formals because I know how much of a waste the Masquerades are. I have just avoided these type of events for the most part. This year, I am considering going. I suppose it wasn't too much of an imposition to spend the day in Portland and go shopping all day with Megan and get a free formal dress. :) Plus if I don't end up going- who cares- I go the dress for free! lol. Anyway, I really like it. Maybe if I end up going I will post pictures. I haven't really decided though. So many of East Linn events are just all the cliques getting together and eating together and then breaking off into their cliques for the rest of the night. Sounds super lame to me. Either that, or I'm completely jealous that I am not in a clique and I don't have a date, and I am too embarrassed to ask the guy that I really want to go with. :) On the other hand, if you are reading this and from East Linn then forget everything you've read, because as I am in Leadership, I am suppose to be promoting this event. Plus, I am in the activities committee, which means that I help plan this thing. So yeah, my dress is awesome and I look hot in it, and I hope some day I find the courage to ask the lovely man to Formal. :)

Funny Music Jokes! :)

These are soooo funnnny!
Q: How many tenors does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Four. One to change the bulb and three to bitch that they could have done it if they had the high notes.
Q: How many basses does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: None. They’re so macho they prefer to walk in the dark and bang their shins.
Q: How many sopranos does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A: Just one. She holds the lightbulb and the world revolves around her.
Q: How many altos does it take to change a light bulb?
A: All of them. One to change the bulb, and the rest to complain about how high it is.

If you know anything about chords and chord progressions you will love this! It's genius.
C, E-flat and G go into a bar. The bartender says, "sorry, but we don't serve minors." So E-flat leaves, and C and G have an open fifth between them. After a few drinks, the fifth is diminished and G is out flat. F comes in and tries to augment the situation, but is not sharp enough.

D comes in and heads for the bathroom saying, "Excuse me. I'll just be a second." Then A comes in, but the bartender is not convinced that this relative of C is not a minor. Then the bartender notices B-flat hiding at the end of the bar and says, "Get out! You're the seventh minor I've found in this bar tonight."E-Flat comes back the next night in a three-piece suit with nicely shined shoes. The bartender says, "you're looking sharp tonight. Come on in, this could be a major development." Sure enough, E-flat soon takes off his suit and everything else, and is au natural.

Eventually C sobers up and realizes in horror that he's under a rest. C is brought to trial, found guilty of contributing to the diminution of a minor, and is sentenced to 10 years of D.S. without Coda at an upscale correctional facility.
